We have an open door policy in the academy supported by safeguarding procedures, however wherever possible we would request parents book appointments in advance.

Home-School Diaries

Staff endeavour to keep families up to date on either a daily or weekly basis. These are written on an afternoon around teaching commitments. Please note information will be minimal but you’re welcome to contact us for further information.

The School Newsletter

These are generally completed on  a 1/2 termly basis

Letters Home

These are sent regularly and vary in content, sometimes whole school and on other occasions, a specific student group

Text to Parents

In line with school policy, we contact parent/carers regarding various matters, including absence, school updates and school events

Coffee Mornings

These are held on a monthly basis in school.

Portland Website

The website is updated regularly to assist in keeping parents informed in respect of school events, student progress, relevant links, for example free school meals applications and compulsory policies and procedures. You are welcome to contact the school directly for further assistance/queries.

We are happy to e-mail information home when parents and carers give us their e-mail addresses.
